PURPOSE

Transforming Oyster Passion Into Competitive Advantage

The Oyster Educators Summit is the Oyster Master Guild’s annual flagship, built for those treating oyster specialization as a business strategy. The program moves from sourcing through service, bringing together producers, operators, educators, and industry professionals for concentrated, high-value discussion. The aim: elevate execution and raise the standard for what an oyster program can achieve.

MADE POSSIBLE WITH OUR PARTNERS

2026 Theme

Creating Emotional Value

Oyster pros will travel far and wide to Seattle, Washington, for an in-person community and learning experience they can’t find anywhere else. With attendance capped at 100, the setting is deliberately intimate, featuring concentrated discussions, direct knowledge exchange, and meaningful connections with the people shaping the next phase of oyster appreciation.

Participants gain clearer strategies, stronger programs, and practical methods to improve revenue, staff performance, and guest experience. This year’s theme, Creating Emotional Value, examines how well-designed oyster programs create core memories and reinforce a property’s sense of place. Tom Stocks of Taylor Shellfish Farms will open with a keynote grounded in operational experience and practical insight.

Past Attendee Feedback

I made a number of valuable connections for my own business and for the oyster farm I work for. Connected with new distributors and oyster shuckers, learned some new info on oysters. Got some tips on how to build our events program at the farm.
Where most oyster events turn into an all you can eat buffet, this was the first education-based event that I have seen. This community is so strong and mighty — it was so great to feel that in person.
Established new relationships and strengthened old ones. What a fabulous time. I am now more confident about teaching and spreading the love of oysters with the community.
